Introduction:
| Several real-life problems are modeled by ordinary and partial differential equations. In particular, several differential equations arising in fluid dynamics are nonlinear in nature. Obtaining closed form analytical solutions to these problems are very difficult and almost impossible in some cases. Therefore, one has to seek numerical approximate solutions to these problems. When the solutions of these differential equations have multi-scale behavior or exhibit boundary layers, then the classical methods fail to yield satisfactory numerical approximate solutions, and one has to use certain layer-adapted nonuniform meshes. In addition, we will discuss efficient numerical and analytical solution techniques to various types of differential equations arising in real-life applications.
In this special session, several researchers across the globe, will present their latest contributions in this direction.
