A threshold type algorithm for fourth order geometric motions

Abstract:
In this talk we would like to propose a threshold type algorithm for fourth order geometric motions, which are Willmore flows with lower order terms. This type of this algorithm was firstly proposed by Bence, Merriman and Osher to compute mean curvature flows. We use fourth order linear parabolic equations to construct our algorithm and show a consistency result if the initial surface is smooth. This is based on my joint work with Professores Y.
